Local
916 Privilege Benefits
 As
a member, you are eligible for the following benefits:
$1,000
death benefit - The beneficiaries of members in good standing
(current within three months) will automatically receive a death
benefit in the amount of $1,000. If an accidental death occurs,
the $1,000 benefit is forfeited and instead, the beneficiary receives
$2,000 from American Income Life insurance company.
Scholarship
Program - All active members in good standing and their children
(defined as children, stepchildren and grandchildren) can apply
for the annual Local 916 college scholarships. In addition, members
in good standing and their children can apply for the Jimmy Hoffa
Scholarship offered by the International. Pro Tech Division 6 members
in good standing and their children can apply for the Becky Wilkinson
Scholarship Fund (see Pro Tech page).
