Jacksonville branch office closes.

June 3, 1964:

Another revised charter is issued on June 3, 1964, to change the name of the Local to, " Drivers, Clerks, Office, Warehousemen and Allied Employees".

May of 1966:

The Local purchases land and an existing building at 2701 No. Dirksen Parkway in Springfield for $75,000. The new location allowed for additional space for the rapidly growing Local.

The Hall was dedicated on September 11th, 1966. The grand opening was October 8, 1966. The bronze dedication plaque, with the names of the Executive Board and Building Committee is still on the building today.

Another bronze plaque hangs next to it, re-dedicating the building to the memory of the great Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa.
